The Beauty Suite at the Toronto International Film Festival takes us behind all the red carpet action! Stars and influencers get the L’Oréal hair and beauty treatment before taking on the film premieres. My experience at the L’Oréal Beauty Suite got our team an exclusive front row seat to all the red carpet TIFF action. The amazing makeup artists and hairdressers got me all ready for a big night with tickets to the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Steady Habits.

The industry is making great strides for women in media and this year L’O’réal decided to focus on this messaging for their campaign. The message is all about women empowering one another to take strides in the industry through collaboration and camaraderie.

I stopped by the L’Oréal Beauty to participate in this wonderful initiative and to share my ideas on why supporting females in the media is so important.

Before getting in the booth with L’Oreal, I got a hair and makeup upgrade from L’Oreal’s beauty professionals. Some of my favourite L’Oréal products got used to create this glowing red carpet ready look. Featuring a brown lip, voluminous lashes, sharp eyebrows and the chiseled lumee glow.

1. HAIRCARE

We decided to keep the look really light and fun. Soft waves was the way to really help accentuate the contoured lumee glow.

First comes the deep nourishing cream conditioner treatment. Followed up with some soft curls on a heated wand. Finishing the look off with a voluminous hairspray.

2. CONTOUR & A POP OF COLOUR

Going with the theme of the night, we wanted to make sure that we had a natural look with the right hint of colour to bring out the soft pink tones of my Topshop dress.

The makeup artist opted for a bold brown lip and eyelids dusted in gold topped off with the blackest black voluminous eye mascara. We finished off the look with highlights to the cheek bone, brow bone, and temple using the Lumee glow nude powders.
